Howard Fisher, 1985-2010

Montreat remembers Howard Fisher (1985 - 2010)

Howard Fisher

December 29 1985-February 3, 2010

May God Be praised through the life of Howard O'Brien Fisher who affected so many lives in 24 years.

When Howard was diagnosed with Aplastic anemia, Steven Jackson fought desperately to get to Kingston, Jamaica to be with his roommate, friend, brother (in Christ) pier, and teammate. Steven, with the help of the college, and friends made it there and was with him until he died.

Howard grew up Kingston, Jamaica and asa boy his mother and grand mother repeatedly  knelt beside him and thanked the Lord for him. Howard was 6"6' and a Senior at Montreat College, he was the best Soccer/football Goalie in the history of Montreat College.

Howard was probably the friendliest guy on the campus and it was unusual for Howard to pass someone and not say hello, but some of the most memorable things about Howard were his smile, sense of humor and kindness.
